摘  要

委婉语,是一种协调人与人之间的人际关系以达到有效沟通的语言使用方法。因此,这在各种语言中也成为了一个非常普遍的现象而使越来越多的人投入到对其的研究中。中国加入WTO后,并进入高速发展期后,中国在对外贸易方面相比数年前也变得越来越频繁,因而中国企业要与外国企业达成成功的合作,委婉语占据了一个重要的方面而越来越被人们所需求。如果洽谈双方想达成一个满意的合作,委婉语就成为了一个很重要的侧重方面。众所周知,不同的国家因为文化历史等方面的不同使得每个国家有其独有的特色。也使习惯禁忌的避讳成了一个重要的方面。而对这些禁忌采取更为礼貌的处理方式如缩写,类比,借代,否定等使得双方的洽谈能够在一个更加舒适的环境下进行。而这些方式的使用也会对会谈的双方产生了很大的影响。本文通过具体的中美文化背景介绍和具体案例呈现的方式来进行展开。

Abstract

Euphemism is such a language to coordinate the interpersonal relationship in communication. Thus, it is becoming a universal phenomenon in every kind of language that makes people interested in it. And as now China has joined the WTO and developed faster during the early decades, the business communications with the foreign countries also become frequently, so in such a competitive world, when people want to start a successful business negotiation with the foreign business enterprises, euphemism plays an important role in the business negotiations between China and foreign countries. Every country has its own special taboos and other things that are not suitable enough to do or talk too clearly. So people usually use something instead to avoid the taboos to make communication more polite in order that both two sides feel comfortable and do not feel embarrassed. There are many ways of euphemism use in business negotiations, such as the acronym, analogy, borrowing, negation etc.. And these kinds of euphemisms are pushing a great effect in peoples’ communication, especially when the two sides are from different countries.
