Humanism in Bob Dylan’s Life and Songs

摘要

人文主义是一个抽象的概念。它强调的是对人的个性的关怀，维护人性尊严，主张自由平等，注重自我价值的体现。很多学者对鲍勃迪伦的歌曲作品，言论，获奖原因以及对社会的影响都有做一些相应的研究，但是深入他本身研究其精神的就很罕见。所以在我对他有了一定的了解以后，经过反复深入的思考，定下了这个课题。本论文将通过研究鲍勃·迪伦的生活经历，以及他在不同的时期创作的歌曲作品，结合时代背景，分析并得出结论，指出他在人文主义方面作出的贡献。鲍勃·迪伦的艺术生涯并不是一成不变的，并且充满了传奇色彩。他从最初的民谣歌手，后来又摇身一变成为摇滚诗人。这其中包含了艺术背景，个人创作思想以及社会的各种转变。

Abstract

Humanism is an abstract concept. It emphasizes caring about one’s personality and maintaining human dignity. It stresses freedom and equality, as well as the embodiment of the self value. Many scholars have done research from several aspects, such as his songs, speech, reasons for winning the prize and influence on the society. However, the study of his inner self is very rare. So, after having a certain knowledge of him and deep consideration, the subject is set. This paper will study Bob Dylan’s life and songs created at different times through combining the time background, and try to reach a conclusion by pointing out the contributions he made to humanism. His artistic career is not changeless, but legendary. He transformed from a folk singer to a rock poet. All changes about his artistic background, personal creative thoughts and society are related to it.
