摘要

如今越来越多的欧美原声影视作品涌入中国,并且受到国人的喜爱。由于受到语言和文化差异的制约,国内观众需要借助字幕来更好地欣赏以及理解欧美的影视作品。在电影字幕汉译中,汉语四字格越来越受到译者的青睐,因为它既能使译文富有文采,增加译文的本土化特色,又能更好地传情达意。本文将从目的论视角,分析电影《马戏之王》字幕E-C翻译中使用汉语四字格的优势和存在的问题,探讨在目的论翻译三原则指导下译者应该如何合理、准确地使用汉语四字格才能更好地完成电影字幕E-C翻译和跨文化交际,并挖掘目的论在电影字幕E-C翻译中的指导意义。

Abstract

Nowadays more and more foreign films have been introduced into China and gained a great popularity nationwide. Because of culture and language differences, Chinese audiences need to rely on the subtitle translation to better understand and appreciate foreign films. In the E-C subtitle translation, Chinese four-character phrases are widely used by subtitle translators, because they not only add radiance to the translation, endowing the target text with local color, but also make the target text more readable and comprehensible. This thesis attempts to analyze the advantages and problems of applying Chinese four-character phrases in The Greatest Showman E-C subtitle translation from the perspective of Skopostheorie, so as to study how the translators can produce E-C subtitle translation texts of higher quality and achieve the cross-cultural communication by using Chinese four-character phrases properly and accurately under the guidance of the three principles of Skopostheorie, exploring the important guidance of Skopostheorie for the movie E-C subtitle translation.
