摘要

在人类语言里，存在着大量记录颜色的符号——颜色词。颜色是人们对客观世界的一种感知。颜色词不仅仅简单表示物体的颜色,它具有丰富的感情色彩和文化内涵，能够体现人类丰富的情感，还能直接地传达出世界各民族的民族文化和精神特征。本文主要采取了对比研究的方法，通过对英汉两种语言中某些基本颜色词的对比分析，探究中英基本颜色词的文化内涵差异以及产生这些差异的原因，从而揭示外语学习及跨文化交际中学习基本颜色词的重要意义。
