从关联理论视角看言语幽默_英语论文

On Verbal Humor from the Perspective of Relevance Theory

摘要

言语幽默是我们日常生活中言语交际活动的重要组成部分。作为一种特殊的语言现象，几个世纪以来它一直受到众人的关注。至今为止，已经有很多来自不同领域关于幽默的研究。但是，从语言学方向入手的研究却并不多见。鉴于此，本文以Sperber和Wilson提出的关联理论为基础，尝试从关联理论视角对言语幽默进行分析，探讨由于语言形式、语言意义以及语境偏离而产生的幽默。本文的分析研究有助于人们更为透彻地理解言语幽默，并且会唤起英语学习者对言语幽默的兴趣。

Abstract

Verbal humor is a very important part in our verbal communication activities. As a special linguistic phenomenon, it has attracted a lot of people’s attention over centuries. Up to now, there are plenty of researches on humor in various fields. However, studies from the perspective of linguistics are not enough. Considering this, the thesis, based on Relevance Theory proposed by Sperber and Wilson, tries to analyze humor from the perspective of Relevance Theory. In the thesis, verbal humor is caused by the deviation of language form, meaning and context. On the basis of this study, people will understand verbal humor much better and deeper. Moreover, it will also promote English learners’ interests in verbal humor.
