从翻译角度研究英汉习语的不等值现象_英语论文

A Study on Non-equivalence between English and Chinese Idioms from Translational Perspective

摘要

习语是语言的重要组成部分。语言及习语在不同的方面互相影响。从翻译的角度来分析习语，我们可以更好的理解中文习语以及英文习语。同时，通过我们的全面理解，我们可以更好的应用他们。因为中英文化的差别，英汉习语中有许多的差别。文章的第一部分简要介绍了本文的研究背景；文章的第二部分介绍了前人在等值理论方面以及习语研究方面的成果；文章的第三部分探讨了英汉习语的来源以及习语的基本特征。同时也将英汉习语间的关系分为三种。第四部分是这篇文章进行研究的理论基础。最后，这篇文章阐释了中英习语的不等值现象产生的原因。

Abstract

Idiom is an important part of language. Language and idioms affect each other in various ways. To view idioms from the translational perspective, we can have the better understanding of Chinese idioms and English idioms. Furthermore, we can make full use of idioms by getting the fully understanding of them. Due to the differences between Chinese cultures and English cultures, there are some differences between Chinese idioms and English idioms. In this paper, the backgrounds of this topic are analyzed at first. Secondly, previous studies on equivalence theories and idioms are introduced. Thirdly, the sources and features of Chinese and English idioms are discussed. Meanwhile, the relationship between Chinese and English idioms is classified into three types. The fourth part is the theoretical basis of this study. Lastly, it states the reasons of non-equivalence between Chinese idioms and English idioms from both linguistic aspect and cultural aspect.
