A Study on Paratext in News and News Translations

摘要

在如今的现实社会中，科技越来越发达，经济发展速度不断加快，人们的思考方式与思考能力也随着社会的进步在不断发展。特别是网络世界的兴起，使得我们待在何时何地都能通过轻松的点击鼠标知晓世界上发生的事情。新闻是包装当前事件的信息，或者，新闻是新闻行业所销售的产品。新闻通过许多不同的媒介进行传播，通过口口相传、印刷、邮政系统、广播和电子通讯等途径。常见新闻报道话题包括战争、政治、商业、体育比赛、古怪的或不寻常的事件,名人的行为等。 本文论将从新闻这一平台入手，重点分析不同文化背景下的新闻传递的不同层面的意思，这就涉及‘翻译’这个字眼。虽然我们阅读不同平台（如参考消息、新华网、BBC、CNN等）的同一新闻时，看似报道同一事件，可细看确有各自的着重点，那么在这需要引入另一个字眼‘超文本’。因此，本文论将结合杰哈·简奈特——《超文本：阐释的临界》中的理念，以热点新闻为例，浅析新闻翻译中的“超文本”现象。

Abstract

In the realistic world, with the rapid development of science and technology, economic growth, our people’s ability of thinking is becoming more and more improved. Especially internet having been arisen, it makes our people know what happened at anywhere, anytime and anyplace. News is packaged information about current events happening somewhere else; or, alternatively, news is that which the news industry sells. News moves through many different media, based on word of mouth, printing, postal systems, broadcasting, and electronic communication. Common topics for news reports include war, politics, and business, as well as athletic contests, quirky or unusual events, and the doings of celebrities.  The text will start from news and lay stress on the analysis of different meanings from various cultural backgrounds which will involve the word ‘translation’.When we read the same news in different platforms such as: Reference News, Xinhua Net, BBC,CNN and so on,it is easy for us to find the different inferred meanings,which should be involved in the word ‘paratexts’. Therefore, the article will combine with the theory of Gerard Genette, take the example of top news,to briefly analyze the phenomenon of ‘paratexts’in news translation.
