摘要

《宠儿》是托尼莫里森最具代表性的作品，也是文学史上一部不朽的作品，迄今它已有两个翻译版本。《宠儿》的故事发生在美国黑人奴隶制时期，其独特的文化背景使外来读者很难感同身受。奈达的功能对等理论是翻译界一大重要理论，本文在功能对等理论的指导下，通过对潘岳、雷格的中文译本的研究，详细分析了翻译中的策略和特点，通过从不同方面的几个实例，以及对功能对等理论在文中的应用，本文将揭示功能对等理论在文学翻译中的价值。

Abstract

Beloved is the most representative work of Toni Morrison and a monumental work in the history of literature. So far it has two translated versions. The story of Beloved took place in slavery period. For foreign readers, its unique cultural background is difficult to be empathized. Nida's functional equivalence theory is a great important translation theories. This thesis gives a detailed analysis on the translation strategies and characteristics based on the Beloved translation from Lei Ge and Pan Yue. Through several examples from different aspects, as well as the application of functional equivalence theory in this paper, the thesis will reveal the value of Functional Equivalency in literature translation area.
