1. Introduction
1.1 Previous Research on China English
1.1.1 Domestic research into China English

Relevant literature shows that the term of China English was first proposed by Ge Chuangui in 1980 in his short article “A Talk on Chinese-English Translation”. He uses the term “China English” to refer to English expressions for things and concepts that are peculiar to China, which often appear in Chinese-English translation. For example, “Four Books” (四书), “five Classics” (五经), “imperial competitive examination” (科举) “eight-legged essay” (八股文), “xiucai” (秀才), “May Fourth Movement” (五四运动), etc. Unfortunately, it was a new term that Chinese scholars did not pay much attention to it in the past. It was not until the late 1980’s that scholars took it as a special phenomenon for detailed studies.
In 1988, Huang Jinqi published an article entitled “A Positive Attitude to Chinese English”. In the article, he points out that it is not always a bad thing for Chinese to influence foreign languages in the process of translation because the language influence can be both negative and positive. For this, he quotes examples about the English expressions with Chinese features, such as: the first step in a long march of ten thousand li (万里长征第一步) four modernizations(四个现代化), erhu(二胡), shoot two hawks with one arrow(一箭双雕), etc. All these examples show that Chinese translators use English in a way that has never appeared in English before expressing a series of things specific to China.
