摘　要

本文采用文体学理论讨论托马斯·哈代的作品《德伯家的苔丝》以及对比分析张谷若和孙法理译本的异同点，论述文体对文学翻译的影响。第一部分介绍本论文所应用的理论基础，即文体学角度下的翻译选择。展示本文主要的研究背景和方法，指导全文的框架结构和论文研究内容。第二部分介绍《德伯家的苔丝》，并概括其两种译本的特点，指出本论文的立论依据。第三部分从文体学的四个方面：词汇特征、语法特征、修辞、语境梳理两译本的翻译思想，通过比较重点探讨了《德伯家的苔丝》译文语言的选择，凸显文体的重要性。虽然不同版本的译本随时代的文化意识的转变而有所变化，但作者希望本文可以促进今后跨文化交流和翻译事业的发展。

Abstract

From the theory of stylistics, this paper aims to discuss the masterpiece of Thomas Hardy, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, one of the greatest novels of “Character and Environment” based on his hometown Wessex. In this paper, it analyzes the similarities and differences of two translation versions of Tess by Zhang Guruo and Sun Fali, in order to demonstrate the application of stylistics in literature translation. The first part is to state the applied theory that’s the selection of translation from the perspective of stylistics. It shows the research background and research approaches. The second part is making a clear point in briefly introducing Tess and generalizing the style of these two versions in according to their special academic backgrounds and development. The third part is to contrast the choices of language in translation by two translators who are crucial in translating. It can focus on four aspects of stylistics: lexical features, syntactical features, figure of speech, and context. In this thesis, stylistic will be used to figure out the close relationship between stylistic features and theme in the novel to encourage a better understanding of masterpiece by Hardy. Although each version has its unique meaning at different time, it is hoped that this paper will further promote the development of translation and cross-culture communication.
