摘要

文化负载词在文字表达背后承载了深厚的文化内涵，在跨文化传播中占据独特而不可或缺的位置。在处理跨文化翻译中所遇到的文化差异时，不管对译者还是对读者而言，文化负载词都是一个极为重要的因素。本文以跨文化传播为视角，在对鲁迅先生的中文经典文学小说《祝福》进行文化解读的基础上，通过对其两个英译本---中文译者杨宪益先生的版本以及英文译者威廉·莱尔先生的版本---的对比研究，旨在发掘在跨文化语境下以源语为母语的译者和以目的语为母语的译者在选择翻译策略上的差异，以期为文化负载词翻译提供有益借鉴。
