摘  要

当今社会，“电影片名翻译”已经成为一个流行的词语，这就导致了一个问题的出现，就是怎么样翻译电影片名，而这也成为了一个热门话题。众所周知，在电影翻译领域，电影片名的翻译尤其重要，因为它虽然只有寥寥数字，但其中蕴涵着电影的内容、文化的内涵和商业的元素。电影片名就是电影的广告，是观众首先接触到的关于电影的信息，片名的成功与否不仅关系到一部电影的票房，更关系到电影想传达给观众的信息。
在对电影片名的翻译过程中，由于译者的想法、知识和人生经验不同，翻译出来的电影片名的版本也有所不同。基于前人在此翻译领域的研究，本文将继续对中英电影的片名进行分析，总结电影片名的特点，及其互译的翻译原则和方法，并根据分析结果，提出一些建议，从而帮助电影爱好者更好地理解电影内容。

Abstract

The translation of film titles has become a very popular phrase in our modern life. As a result, there comes the question of how to translate the film titles which has been a hot topic for a long time. As is known to all, in the field of film translation, the translation of film titles is of great importance for that the content, social culture and commercial elements are all involved in few words of the film titles. The title is the advertisement of a film. It is also the first information received by the audience. Whether a film title succeeds or not influences not only the box office but the information a film wants to show to the people.
In the progress of translation, sometimes film titles will have different versions owing to the different translators. Because everyone has its own ideas, knowledge and life experience. Led by the previous studies of the title translation of the English and Chinese films, this dissertation will continue with the discussion about the features of the film titles, and some approaches of film title translation. Then based on the results, suggestions are proposed for the film-lovers to achieve a better understanding of the film content.

1. Introduction
With the globalization of the world and the development of the Internet, it is much more convenient for us to watch foreign films, especially Hollywood ones at home nowadays, and meanwhile, Chinese films are taking its own place on the world stage. As a media of culture communication, film plays an increasingly important role all over the world. However, we shall never forget that, without the hard-working of the translators, we might have missed a lot wonderful films.
A good film needs a wonderful title. The title is the soul of a film. Every time the people hear about a film, they always get to know its title first. And then they will decide whether to watch it or not. The pleasure of watching a film comes from its content as much as from its title. Due to the importance of film titles, the translation of them requires translators using a few simple and proper words to express the theme and content of a film and meanwhile, leave people a deep impression.
