摘　要

随着电影行业在世界各地普及度越来越高，电影已经成为了文化传播媒介的一种重要形式。一个好的电影标题能很直观的反应出一部电影的主题内容，也是观众们对这部电影的第一印象。因此英文电影标题的翻译也是非常重要的。在翻译的过程中，译者不仅要考虑到中西方文化差异问题，还要考虑到翻译的价值问题。前的学者们已经讨论并研究出一些英文电影标题翻译的方法技巧，还总结出了一些翻译规则。

Abstract

As the movie has become an important form of culture media and more and more popular around the world.A good title is an important part to reflect a good movie visually, and gives the audiences the first impression of the film.So the Translation of English Film Title is very important. And during this period, translater must consider not only the culture differences between eastern and western countries,but also the values. Some scholars have studied and discussed the skills of the English film title translation and summarized the translation principles.

1 Introduction
   The objective of this paper is to discuss some methods and skills of film title translation on the basic of culture differences. The translation of English film titles seems easy, but has deeper connotations. During the process of the translation, except some generized differences of culture and language, different translaters have different private opinios., so the translation is not a easy thing as it seems. Films plays a very important role in cultural interchanges. Therefore, the culture and language studies is also necessary. Besides, as a good translater, should learn cultural knowledge well at the same time, improve abilitie and skills of translation. Some scholars left us many good works about the studies of culture and translation. After studying and summarize, we can find out some useful knowledge and method about English film title translation.This paper firstly points out some typical culture differences between China and western countries.English Film Title Translation isn’t a simple process to change one name to the other. It needs to be translated on the basic of fully understanding- the main content and theme of the film, and translated in a way that native people can be easy to understand and  accept. Besides, a good translation can be a work of art, being good to hear or see, innovative and attractive. Foreign audiences are more often than not to comprehend the original film titles. The Chinese audiences wouldn’t arouse sympathy when they see the original film titles. In order to adapt to different audiences’ appetite, traslaters need to find the most suitable way of translation, the literal translation, free translation or any others. These two methods must combine and use adjusting orders, adding or reducing some words of the original film titles to get the best results of the translation of film titles.
