Abstract:

In the process of communicating between China and the rest of the world, English plays a role as a medium, which makes China understood by the world. However, when Chinese learners of English do translation from Chinese to English, their translations may unavoidably be influenced by the mother tongue. For instance, some people may translate just following Chinese language habits regardless of the differences between Chinese and English. There comes such non-standard English, which is called Chinglish. In this paper, the introduction is given firstly. Secondly, the writer analyzes what Chinglish is by concentrating on the definition of Chinglish and differences between Chinglish and China English. Thirdly, the paper concentrates on the discussion about the Chinglish in C-E translation and its causes from two aspects, written and oral translation. In this part the writer also comes up with some solutions to Chinglish. Fourthly, the writer explores the negative and positive influences of Chinglish in C-E translation. Through analysis, then the writer summarizes the paper and comes to a conclusion that, standard English should be used as frequently as possible and, being the non-standard English with Chinese characteristics, Chinglish in C-E translation is unavoidable to be used in a casual occasion.

摘  要：

在中国和世界其他国家交流过程中，英语充当媒介作用，从而使世界了解中国。然而中国的英语学习者在把汉语翻译成英语的时候，他们的译文难免会受到母语的影响。例如，有些人在翻译的时候会遵从汉语的习惯而忽略了汉语与英语之间的种种不同。于是就出现了这种不标准的英语，即中式英语。本文首先是引言；第二，作者通过阐述中式英语的定义与中式英语和中国英语的区别，分析了什么是中式英语；第三，分别从书面语翻译和口语翻译两方面讨论了在汉译英中中式英语的表现形式和产生原因，在这一部分作者还提出了减少中式英语的方法；第四，探索了在汉译英中中式英语产生的消极影响和积极影响；通过分析，作者在最后一部分总结全文并得出结论，即英语学习者应尽可能多地使用标准英语，而中式英语作为一种不标准英语并带有汉语特点，在非正式场合，使用其也是不可避免的。
