摘  要

散文是一种结构灵活、活泼轻巧的文学形式， 其主要特点是“形”散而“神”聚，因此如何在翻译当中再现这一切，是译者不得不面对的一大难题。“荷塘月色”是我国近代白话散文的经典之作, 朱自清以他高超的语言驾驭能力吸引了国内外无数读者和翻译家, 用词精美,情感充沛,影响着一代代中国人。《荷塘月色》通篇的语言美主要体现在大量叠音词,修辞手段的使用,值得读者学习,同时也值得广大译者为之努力。本文通过探讨作者在《荷塘月色》中准确、贴切地运用比喻、通感、叠词、比拟、对比等多种修辞手法, 深入对比研究朱纯深、杨宪益戴乃迭夫妇以及王椒升教授的3个英译本。通过比较， 文章发现三位译者风格的相同点和不同点，并且尝试在此基础上对译文进行改进。

Abstract

Prose is a kind of literary form adhering to flexible structure and lightweight conformation. The main characteristics of prose is the “shape” and “spirit” poly scattered, so how to reappear all of these in translations is a huge problem which translators have got to face. “Moonlight over the Lotus Pond” is one of the classical vernacular prose in modern China. Zhu Ziqing attracts a great deal of readers and translators at home and abroad by his excellent language. Its wording is exquisite and full of emotion, which influences coming generations deeply. By its reduplicated words, rhetorical devices, this prose is worth of reader’s reading and translation. Through the discussion of the utilization of accurate, appropriate simile, synaesthesia, reduplicated words, comparing, contrast and other rhetoric devices in "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond", this paper studies on three versions of translations from Zhu Chunshen, the British couple Dai Naidie Yang Xianyi and Professor Wang Jiaosheng intensively to reveal the charm of the language and art. By comparison, this paper find the three translators’ style have their similarities and differences, and try to make an effort on its improvements.
