从目的论视角探析《三体》翻译策略_英语论文

An Analysis of Translation of The Three-Body Problem from the Perspective of Skopos

摘要

2015年8月23日，中国科幻小说家刘慈欣的《三体》获得雨果最佳长篇小说奖，英文版《三体》能获得如此国际大奖，译者杰出的翻译功不可没。译者刘宇昆的翻译主要遵循翻译目的论的原则，使《三体》英译版在国际文坛获得成功。本文主要基于翻译目的论，分析《三体》英译的翻译策略。指出，三体的英译者主要受翻译目的的支配，努力忠实再现原文。

Abstract

In August 23, 2015, Chinese science fiction novelist Liu Cixin’ s The Three-Body Problem won the Hugo best novel award. The great success of the English version of The Three-Body Problem owes greatly to the outstanding translation of the book. This paper attempts to analyze the translation strategies. Because the translator Ken Liu mainly follows the principle of the Skopos theory, the translation of The Three-Body Problem is greatly successful in international literary field. It is found that the translator is mainly subject to Skopos Theory and tries to represent the source text.
