摘　要

现在越来越多的英美电影作品涌入了中国市场，受到了大众的欢迎，也取得了不俗的票房成绩。电影主题和故事情节固然可以吸引大众的注意，但是，优秀的字幕翻译更是可以为电影增色不少。电影字幕翻译作为一门新兴领域，正在引起越来越多人的关注。虽然电影字幕翻译取得了一定的研究成果，但是规范电影字幕翻译的理论尚末成熟和完善，电影字幕翻译的质量还有待提高。本论文主要对目的论在英文电影字幕中译中的应用进行了研究。第一部分介绍了研究背景和意义。第二部分提出字幕翻译的理论依据即目的论。第三部分列举了目的论在字幕翻译中的具体体现。第四部分将尝试以目的论为基础对英文电影字幕翻译提出翻译方法。希望本文对英美电影字幕的试探性研究，可以向在中国文化背景中的观众最有效地传达相关信息，使观众能够更好地理解和欣赏电影作品，也希望可以对提高实际的电影字幕翻译水平有所帮助。

Abstract

Nowadays, more and more English films flock into China’s market. They are welcomed by the Chinese people, and also have gotten excellent box office successes. Although the themes and plots of the films can draw people’s attention, the outstanding subtitle translation can also brighten the films. As a new field, the subtitle translation of films is drawing more and more people’s eyes. The researches on the subtitle translation of films have made some achievements, but theories to regulate the film subtitle translation are not so mature and perfect, and the quality of subtitle translation has to be improved. This paper is mainly about the application of Skopos theory in translating film subtitles. The first part is about the research background and significance. The second part puts forward the translation theory, Skopos theory. The third part lists the reflection of Skopos theory in subtitle translation. The fourth part puts forward some translation methods based on Skopos theory. It is hoped that the research about English movie subtitles in this paper can pass the most effective information to the Chinese audience and make them understand and appreciate the movies better. And it is also hoped that this research can be beneficial to improve the actual translation level for the subtitle translation practically.
