Abstract

Onomatopoetic words are not only a kind of word formation, but also a kind of important rhetorical device. The right and proper use and translation of onomatopoetic words can render the atmosphere, set off the characters’ psychological activities. What’s more, the use of onomatopoetic words can make the translation vivid and lifelike. The use of onomatopoetic words in children’s literature translation can help children better understand the texts. The paper is based on Skopostheorie, combined with the characteristics of children’s literature. With Charlotte’s Web translated by Ren Rongrong as an example, it analyses the translation of onomatopoetic words with a view to providing references for the translators of children’s literature.

拟声词是一种构词手法，也是一种重要的修辞手法。正确，恰当地运用和翻译拟声词，可以渲染气氛，烘托意境，使平淡的句子变得鲜活生动。儿童文学受众是儿童，其中的拟声词翻译有助于儿童理解文本。本文将以目的论为基础，结合儿童文学的特点，以任溶溶译的《夏洛的网》为例，分析儿童文学中拟声词的翻译，旨在为儿童文学译者提供一些实践指南。
