Abstract

Children’s literature is for children and the content is familiar to children in their social life. Reduplicated words belong to the children language, which are applied widely in the translation. Different from traditional theories, reception aesthetics is reader-centered and it puts emphasis on readers’ “horizon of expectation” and “Status of readers”. Therefore, readers can really accept the literature. So, this paper will carry out from reduplicated words’ three effective effects with examples extracted from the children’s literature, being analyzed with the reception aesthetics. It is concluded that reduplicated words fit children’s language style and can be applied to children’s literature translation, because of their beauty in the rhythm effect, imaging effect, and emotional effect.

摘要

儿童文学是以儿童读者而创作的文学作品，作品一般选用儿童熟悉的社会生活体裁，其内容适合儿童欣赏趣味和接受心理。叠词属于儿童语言，被广泛地运用到儿童文学翻译中。与传统理论不同，接受美学正是强调以读者为中心，重视读者的“期待视野”和“读者本位”，从而使读者真正接受文学作品。本文选取叠词的节奏效果、达情效果、图貌效果三个角度，运用接受美学分析儿童文学中符合以上三大功能的例句，最后得出结论叠词切合儿童语言风格，在英汉翻译中必要时可用叠词能增强语言的魅力，更易于儿童的接受，使得译文更具吸引力、更生动。
